New autopilot technology offers finger-tip access to allow captains flexible boating control  Take control of your SeaTalk autopilot or instrument network wirelessly, with the new Smart Controller and S100 Wireless remotes.
The S100 is a wireless autopilot controller, while the SmartControer additionally repeats SeaTalk navigation data from your connected instrument system.
SmartController Wireless Remote / Instrument Repeater The SmartController includes an instrument repeater for monitoring instrument readings while below deck or away from the helm. This wireless remote can be programmed with up to eight user-defined pages that allow one, two or four lines of text, as well as graphics. All the information is displayed on a high contrast 62 x 127 pixel dot matrix display, and the Standby button has a raised profile that makes it easy to identify in the dark. The wireless repeater function is compatible with any of Raymarine’s SeaTalk instruments. The wireless range is up to 32 feet from the base station, and for larger boats additional base stations can be added for extended range. When the remote is out of range of the base station, the autopilot signals a warning and automatically drops into the Standby mode. For extra convenience, the system can be expanded with additional handsets for other crewmembers. The SmartController uses two rechargeable NiMH batteries that allow a single charge to last up to two weeks. Other features include a battery and signal strength indicator, backlit buttons and keylock security. S100 Wireless Remote Offering many of the same features as the SmartController, the compact and lightweight S100 provides remote control for any of these Raymarine autopilots: S1000, ST1000, ST2000, ST3000, ST4000, ST5000 and SmartPilot. The user-friendly menu makes all functions easy to access. The high contrast 24 x 127 dot matrix screen displays up to two lines of text, and the autopilot mode is graphically illustrated for quick, easy reference. The raised Standby button is easy to find in the dark. The wireless operation range is 30 feet from the base station. When the remote is out of range of the base station, it will signal the user and drop the autopilot into standby mode. Extra base stations and handsets can be added to accommodate larger boats and crews. The S100 uses two AAA alkaline batteries, and the battery and signal strength are indicated on the display. The S100 comes with the base station, SeaTalk lead, two mounting cradles, lanyard, belt clip and batteries. For easy installation, every remote is pre-registered at the factory to match the base station. |
